About Dr Jason Juggapah
Dr Juggapah trained as a GP in his home town of London, having completed his medical degree in 2009 in Yorkshire, UK. He moved to Australia in 2015, first to Melbourne, where he practiced for almost 4 years, before moving to Sydney at the request of his partner.
In London he worked in a variety of specialities including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, aged care and psychiatry. He came to Australia for just a year but then fell in love with all it had to offer and stayed.
Dr Juggapah’s love of general practice means he tries to emulate the “old family doctor” ethos as he believes that incorporating traditional family medicine with modern approaches and patient centred care leads to better overall health and well-being.
His areas of professional interest lie in paediatrics, Men’s health, Travel medicine, the holistic management of anxiety and depression and sexual health. He has a interest in working with members from the LGBTQI community.
Dr Juggapah is about to embark on a s100 prescribers course and is in the process of acquiring shared care accreditation.
Dr Juggapah is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and until his move to Sydney was Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Melbourne teaching medical students at the practice. He has a Master’s degree in Immunology from Imperial College London and several scientific publications.
Outside of work Jason loves overseas travel, arts, theatre as well as fitness and exercise. He is teaching himself the piano and learning Spanish.
